Jam the frequency of Radio Free Sarawak

Monday, January 21st, 2013

Written by: Dr. John Brian Anthony

It is so funny that an example was given by BN leaders that during the war with Communist and during Confrontation the army interfere with the radio broadcast of the enemy. Now, the BN leaders see Radio Free Sarawak as the radio that belong to the enemy. Who are these people that we have elected? Are the elected leaders becoming the enemy of the people or are the leaders making enemy of the people.

What is truth?

Truth is something that is factual and can be proven. Can I prove to you that BN did not deliver on many of their promises of development to the people of Sarawak? Of course I could. Could I prove that the money allocated under Sarawak development plan has been misdirected from the original intention? Yes i could. Could I prove that the Ministers in Sarawak are involved in corruption? Yes I could and that is fact. (more…)

BN politics is all about RACE, RELIGION and ROYALTY

Monday, January 21st, 2013

Written by: Dr John Brian Anthony

I received a few calls from my friends pertaining to PERKASA seditious out burst to burn the Bible. My friends even asked me to lodge a police report or if Christian NGO should make the police report. I replied in the negative because it is entirely “political” in nature. Due to the coming election, UMNO agent, PERKASA under directive by UMNO strongman uttered this holier then thou words “burn the Bible with the word Allah”.

The subject is a trap

The reason is quite simple that UMNO who dominate BN  enforce their will on BN  becuase BN has no more issue in which they can win an argument with PR. UMNO / BN politics is all about RACE, RELIGION and ROYALTY. If you enter into an argument over the above topic you will not win. If  UMNO / PERKASA say anything seditious on the subject of RACE, RELIGION or ROYALTY  it is alright. But if we non UMNO  / BN said it, that will be seditious. They will use their special power to lock you up.

These subjects are UMNO / BN specialty. It is not quantifiable and therefor is not measurable.  But if you talk about BN poor management of tax payer money, corruption, cronyism business, crime, education etc BN will shut up because many of BN policies represent self interest and is therefor rotten for the rest of the Malaysian. Their results in such areas are bad and insulting to the intelligence of average Malaysian.

PERKASA leader is our strategic tool

When PERKASA leader open his big mouth and with an idiot logic he turn off many fence sitters who in turn will support PR. So why bother about him?. He should be encourage to say anything and everything he wants. The more he talks the worst it is for BN. My Malay friends told me that the PERKASA leader intention is to divide and rule the Malay. In that respect he is not only failing but he is seen as a person with an IQ of certain animal but definitely not a dog because dogs are a lot smarter.

Conclusion

Your vote is for the future of Malaysia. Do you think we have any future with such person the like of PERKASA leader to run this country? It is time for UBAH and Change WE Must.

Demi -God of Sarawak

Come election, the Government would be busy resurfacing road, laying water pipes, erecting power lines, clearing new roads, doling out minor rural projects, giving little chicks as in Sri Aman and promising the sky to the people etc and then proudly declare to the people of Sarawak that only a BN Government could help and bring development to Sarawak. Many are still convince that only BN can bring progress to Sarawak. Why?

BN is equated with Government

The daily pounding of propaganda by BN make people think that BN is one and the same with Government. This “truth” is just as good as any that all instant noodle is called Maggi and every tooth paste is called “Colgate”. At one time all powder detergent is called “Omo” but now that has changed but gradually. BN has managed to convince people that BN or the Government is one and the same thing and that all other political is opposition. Without BN, some BN supporters dare say that they will be no more government. They say, if you do not vote BN, there will be no more schools, clinics, government offices etc as there is no more government. Due to their lack of education many Sarawakian believed in those statement.

So you see, what has the Opposition given you? The Opposition has no money and talk only. For us, armed with knowledge, we know that the state and country money is only held by the government and should be spent according to the approved budget. Who ever win the election will have the power to use the money to run the government  and  provide development for the country. It means, the communication of this basic information to make the people understand the different roles of a governing party and the opposing party lies in the hand of those who knows. For now, the Opposition is using Radio Free Sarawak to open up the issues and accelerate the political education of the ignorant voters.

Interesting enough, components of the Government instruct this ignorant people not to listen to RFS and even reinforced the lies that the Opposition is only out to cause trouble. There lies the root cause of “ignorance” among the rural community and for the BN leaders to take advantage of them. It is done deliberately by BN.

To me, it is an unfortunate practice by BN by keeping the people ignorant and knowingly make them poor for ease of manipulation during election. (more…)

From Gullible Dayak to new Dayak Leadership

Monday, December 10th, 2012

Written by: Dr John Brian Anthony15th Aug 2012 ( Resubmitted by Cikgu Iban)

First of all, let it be known that this article should not be written as it may have negative effect on Dayak. However, the truth must be told that the Dayak will be made to split further politically during this coming Election.

  1. Let us examine today’s scenario

where PRS is being challenged by the newly registered SWP, a political party that does not get any rebuke by the State leadership. Instead, it has been given a silent approval and sanction by the high ranking political leaders. Dr. James has to shout at the top of his voice to remind BN component parties of BN constitution .The constitution stipulates that for any party and its members to be admitted into BN fold, they must be a consensus by ALL parties. Even with the utterance of one odd voice from its current component parties, there would not be any admission into the fold. Dr. James would like to pre-empt such scenario by adopting and thinking of other strategies, should he find himself boxed into a corner. The key element of PRS strategy is “sediakan payong sebelum hujan”. As such, it must be fast enough to avoid a situation whereby “nasi sudah jadi bubur” before doing anything. The worst situation that PRS face is “di telan mati apai di luak mati indai” in their fight for survival. (more…)

Is Multi-racial party a threat in Sarawak

Monday, December 10th, 2012

Written by: Dr. John Brian Anthony 17th Aug 2012 9Submitted by Cikgu Iban)

It is quite common to see comments from contributors saying that partnering the Chinese in politics poses a bigger danger than partnering the Malays. There are several political partnerships that can be observed in Sarawak. The first one is the partnership which exists between the Malays and the Dayak in PBB. The second is the partnership between the Dayak and the Chinese in SUPP and the third is being the presence of some Chinese and the Dayak in SPDP. Until the dismissal of Larry Sng, PRS was then very much in similar situation but now this party is basically in existence for the Dayak only. In other words, we can see that the Dayak are partnering any other races in politics.

Dayak and Chinese in DAP

For the sake of our discussion, we shall talk about the partnership of the Dayak and the Chinese in DAP. Many people have questioned the sincerity of the Chinese as partners in politics. The Dayak are doubtful about the policies of this party in relation to the interests of the Dayak. Generally, the Dayak think that DAP is not for them. Actually, it is wrong to make a preconceived claim that DAP is exclusively for the Chinese. This is because its members are all along multi-racial and from various ethnic backgrounds. (more…)

What is the choice for Dayak

1. Delicious lunch.

A few days back I had lunch with some very senior people from the Government. The lunch was delicious and the conversation was “luar biasa”, a topic that was spelled out carefully to me to make me understand that as government we must be “sensitive to the feeling” of other races, not only Dayak.

The discussion touched on what would be the measure of success for Dayak? One measurement is for Dayak to breakthrough their current “limitation” and conquers new “frontiers”. That is a lot of meaning embodied in one word “frontier”.

Very well said. Let me now break it down to make proper sense out of the expensive lunch and to share with you all my understanding of “how” our senior Dayak leaders in Government think.

2. BN concept is the best concept for Dayak.

I was told that the BN concept of power sharing is the best concept for Dayak. Without BN it is almost impossible to bring development to the Dayak. Simply put, Dayak DO NOT have money and secondly Dayak do not have the numbers to rule this country.

Today we have Pakatan Rakyat as the Opposition and some even claimed to be the third force or the king maker in Malaysian politics. This Pakatan Rakyat offer multi-racial platform, equality, transparency and even special consideration for the development of Sarawak by increasing oil and gas royalty to 20% and even setting an Oil and Gas company that is run and operated by Sarawak. The Devil We Know or the Deveil We Don”t Know

It is very interesting to see Tun Mahathir coming back into the political front and made his two cents worth of opinion known to all. More often then not, he repeated his old dog tricks that had me taken in before but not now. One of which is that BN is tested and has experience in governing while Pakatan Rakyat has not!. Time has solved this problem when Pakatan won 5 States with one taken from under their feet (Perak) after the PRU 12 election. PR Government has not only proven to be successful but it has set new standards in governance and a high standard in fiscal management of the States they govern. What the people wanted was transparency and fairness (equal opportunities) and the Pakatan Government has led all the way in performance if we use the Auditor General Report as a guide.

So, we now can be rest assured that Pakatan Rakyat can rule their States better then BN and we can infer that Pakatan Rakyat will be able to rule Malaysia much better then the BN can. (more…)

Sarawak State and Parliamentary Election must be held at the same time.

Written by: Dr. John Brian Anthony

It strikes me that Tun Mahathir is sending messages to the people to fear Pakatan Rakyat because it can easily surrender its independence to foreign country by the mere fact that Anwar Ibrahim invited Australia to monitor the conduct of PRU 13. It seems that BN has a lot of election rigging, manipulation and unfair practices to hide. Afterall, the BERSIH protest was not over nothing. Maybe, BN now realized that there is a strong possibility that it will lose power after the coming election. Tun Mahathir and Tun Abdullah appeared nervous if you read their statement in the news media. Tun Mahathir issue a threat even. Today Malaysian have enough courage  to stand up against the deceit of BN and their money politics.

Today Tun Mahathir said that there will be chaos and demonstration in the streets if Pakatan Rakyat losses the coming election. This will frighten the people  from voting PR. I call such politics “politic indai lagau”. Ngenatuk ke orang aja. The reverse might be true that BN might not hand over power peacefully to PR should PR win the election. When BN become the opposition as we have seen in Penang they would become “cry baby” and a very bad “sour grape” . After PRU 12  they illegally grab back Perak .  Should UMNO loss PRU 13 the UMNO Malay might even go to the street and create a May 13 repeat. So many UMNO elite will loss their source of income, their wealth and high living life style. They will instigate situation to create chaos. It would be testing time for Malaysia. We must be prepared.

Mamak kutty Mahathir is a master of double meaning talk and reverse psychology. We all know him all too well. But the infighting in UMNO between Najib, Muhyuddin and Mahathir is going to bring UMNO down. (more…)

Rm$1,000,000.00 donation for Palestine

Monday, November 26th, 2012

Written by: Dr John Brian Anthony

With due respect to “We Love Muhammad Global Club of Malaysia” asking for public donation of rm$1 million to be given to Palestine is less than an honest NGO effort. It is a political strategy with a message to Muslim to stand united in the coming PRU 13 election. BN strategy and bluff is getting from bad to worst.

What is rm$1 million to Palestine?

The amount is negligible but BN is making this donation drive symbolic of Muslim unity. There is nothing wrong for doing it, just that non-Muslim must be aware of what is going on inside BN election strategist head. The Malaysian government has given many million to help Palestine and the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) many more million over. Then they are donation from the develop countries of Europe and US specifically, so what is $1 million for? (more…)

Multi-racial politics is the new trend in Malaysia

Thursday, November 22nd, 2012

Written by: Dr. John Brian Anthony

The Barisan Nasional concept of sharing power in Malaysia is getting out of date. The guiding principle is “consensus among all” and “fair representation” of all races is deviating from the original objective of creating a united Malaysia. In most cases these “principles” are mere lip service as the dominant party like UMNO call all the shots. In Sabah for example, a rotational Chief Minister position end up with nothing but back to the old system of which ever party with the most seat lead the government. In other cases, the government is forced to create “back door” entry of certain leaders in order to achieve fair representation. Even then fair representation was not achieved because of the strength and demand of UMNO.

Local political party in Sarawak

I often hear that Sarawakian are grateful to Tai Manok for keeping UMNO out of Sarawak. That is a fallacy. UMNO is already in Sarawak through PBB and thus need not enter Sarawak by its own entity. In Sabah, UMNO has no proxy therefor it has to get in using its entity. It is not true that by not allowing UMNO into Sarawak and by sticking to Sarawak local party we can keep the Malayan people away. Large track of our land has been given by Tai Manok to Tabung Haji as an example. On a more familiar note 95% of  our oil and gas natural resources is taken by Federal. So really, what is so great about the status of local party in Sarawak? (more…)
